He insists that it is his moral obligation to protect her from further temptations and the devil. In the name of the church and its values he thinks he’s protecting his wife. he would give up his life to protect her’s. To protect their daughter. To protect their family, he would stop at nothing.

Harold Clemmings life changed on Wednesday night. He wasn’t afraid of jail. He had spent two years in the pen when he was 18. He found his wife Hannah making love to Jim in their camper and that’s what bothered him most… he proposed on a Wednesday night and that was their sacred day of the week. Every Wednesday for years he brought her flowers and seeing her make love to another man, something he himself had not experienced in years, could only be solved one way.

But he still loved Hannah. He loved her madly and fiercely. He was proud of being her guardian angel and he would do anything to protect her.

As we accompany Harold in his camper, driving frantically around the desert, we see him drunk and distraught. He desperately screams at the picture of his wife on the passenger seat and argues with “her”, screaming that he killed in the name of love. We watch Harold, filled with anger and disillusion, have full conversations with an inanimate object.
